Program Information This is an internship opportunity for college students to participate in of the largest pharmacy innovation companies int he United States. At CVS Health, colleagues are committed to increasing access, lowering costs and improving quality care. We help people on their path to better health from advising on prescriptions to helping manage chronic specialty conditions. CVS also offers a unique preceptor program designed to educate students about clinical processes as well as understanding the business aspect of running a pharmacy. CVS interns work on projects that provide valuable hands-on experience and will have the chance to learn from more experience professionals. Interns are expected to shadow pharmacist manager to deliver CVS purpose, modeling its values, and providing genuine, authentic care for patients. Interns will have the opportunity to understand what goes into the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within the pharmacy which include, but not limited to: patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, patient care service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, work flow management, balancing assignments that maximize colleagues strengths, address development opportunities and decrease knowledge gap, targeting critical business opportunities and meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in the pharmacy. At the culmination of the internship, students will have enough experience to determine if healthcare is their career choice
