Program Information The council is comprised of high school aged teens who share a con1mon desire to bring greater understanding and civility to our community.\r\nOur Mission\r\n\\We come together to promote respect, understanding and appreciation for the integrity of each others beliefs, cultures, and traditions, through interfaith dialogue, education, and activities.\\\r\nOur Vision\r\n\u201cUsing out faith as a moral compass for social action\u201d\r\n\r\nWhat We Do:\r\nExpand Ideas\r\nIYA students learn about different faith traditions\u2019 rituals, music and prayers, and by doing so, find strength in their own faith by exploring similarities and differences of other belief systems.\r\nBecome Empowered\r\nOur youth learn how to run a meeting, make an agenda, and be a facilitator and how to make a presentation. They also learn the difference between dialogue and debate and the difference between presenting and facilitating. And much more\u2026\r\nBuild Relationships\r\nTeens from all over Orange County meet with peers from diverse backgrounds and Faiths and enjoy good food and good times as they work together on meaningful projects.\r\nTake Action\r\nStudents plan and organize community service projects for the betterment of Orange County. They are able to earn community service hours towards their graduation requirements and/or for inclusion in their college application.\r\n
