The DNCUSD is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment where each student is provided with high-quality instruction that meets them where they are and leads them to content mastery in each grade level. In addition, students benefit from access to counselors and other programs that coach them in life skills, high school and college readiness, and career awareness. To these ends, students will be offered meaningful learning experiences to enable them to access and critically analyze information, pose substantive questions, to communicate and collaborate effectively, and to build lasting and profound connections to the community.

This placement encompasses the various schools within Del Norte Unified School District approved to host school social work interns

Dream Quest provides youth with healthy, vocational, educational and creative opportunities to imagine and build their dreams - building community strength and sustainability.

As of 9/18/2020, this site is approved for HSU Service Learning, Academic Internship courses, and Social Work 355 (not Social Work 400+ hour internships).

DZC Consulting provides professional archaeological, historical, and cultural resource management services. We offer efficient guidance through the regulatory process, anticipating problem areas and helping clients plan for optimal solutions. Results are client oriented, aiming to minimize your cost while protecting our collective heritage.

We build bridges between home gardeners and food distribution non-profits.

Using urban agriculture as a means to build community and promote awareness about food security, public health, and sustainable agriculture.

Ensuring that ALL 7800 of our students are prepared for success in high school and beyond is our ultimate goal in the East Whittier City School District. Our dedicated support staff, teachers, administrators and Board of Education work tirelessly day in and day out to achieve our vision of “Opening the Door to Every Child’s Future.”

This agency has two approved sites:

2. Pub & Restaurant: 1777 Alamar Way, Fortuna, CA 95540

PLEASE NOTE: Students are allowed to work on business management projects, including marketing campaign strategies for this site. Students may visit the site to observe operations and conduct these activities. However, students may NOT directly work with/serve alcohol, or conduct any activities that contribute to direct financial gain: i.e., no  alcohol sales/cash handling are allowed (however, work on payroll, tax returns, bookkeeping are ok).

The El Dorado Union High School District serves 6,561 students who enter high school from 12 feeder elementary districts.  Students are supported by approximately 634 employees.

School programs have a strong academic focus throughout a rigorous 4-year curriculum that includes emphasizing career paths for all students, opportunity programs for high-risk students, alternative education options for students with special needs, extensive Advanced Placement course offerings, and strong extra- and co-curricular programs.
 
The District has developed staffing standards for its comprehensive high schools, including a student-teacher ratio of 31.57:1 (varies by site), a student-counselor ratio of 402:1, and a student-assistant principal ratio of 553:1. Schools are provided with Health Services, including a Health Technician at each comprehensive site and a District school nurse, as well as a Library Media Center staffed by credentialed personnel.
 
Safe school environments are the standard, and a culture of friendliness exists between staff and students.

ecognizing the importance of staff development to quality education, the District strongly supports professional growth activities, including staff development days, school site-based training programs, attendance at conferences and seminars, and a Peer Assistance Review Program. The District has also committed both staff and financial resources to support technology in the classroom and throughout the District.
 
Because of the positive educational environment, the District has a stable staff with low turnover; most teachers leave the District due to retirement.

The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) is the fifth-largest school district in California located in southern Sacramento County. EGUSD covers 320 square miles and includes 68 schools: 43 elementary schools, nine middle schools, nine high schools, four alternative education schools, one charter school, a special education school, an adult school, and a (K-8) virtual academy.

Founded in 1977 and based on unceded ancestral Wiyot territory in Arcata, Humboldt County, California, the Environmental Protection Information Center (EPIC) is a grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental organization that advocates for the science-based protection and restoration of Northwest California’s forests, rivers, and wildlife with an integrated approach combining public education, citizen advocacy, and strategic litigation.

​Our vision is a Northwest California with healthy, connected, and wild forests where sustainable, restorative management practices are the standard. The forests of the region will help buffer the impacts of climate change resulting in clean air and water, abundant and diverse native flora and fauna, and the protection of natural beauty and quality of life for generations to come.

​EPIC recognizes that issues of social justice, human rights and environmental justice are inextricably linked to our core mission to protect and restore Northwest California’s ecosystems and environment. In recognition of this intersectionality, EPIC works with local marginalized communities to stand up for environmental quality and social justice, both to expand the conservation movement to include communities that have been historically excluded and to promote productive dialogue and mutual understanding, and with a special emphasis on Traditional Ecological Knowledge from Indigenous peoples.

We pledge to always listen to and work with Indigenous Peoples to ensure that our advocacy is respectful, informed, and just. We pledge to engage in meaningful and effective collaborations built on the recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ longstanding relationships with and stewardship of ecosystems in their traditional territories, and the crucial role Tribes can and should take in defending and protecting nature now and in the future.
