California Highway Patrol: Humboldt Area Office

The California Highway Patrol Humboldt Area is proud to serve the northern Humboldt County region providing safety, service, and security to thousands of residents, commuters, and tourists each day. As part of the CHP's Northern Division, our office patrols US 101, State Route 36, State Route 299, as well as hundreds of miles of unincorporated county roadwaysand serves 134,000 residents of Humboldt County. Our Willow Creek Resident Post provides service and quick response to the rural communities of Willow Creek, Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation, and surrounding areas that include State route 96 and State Route 169. We offer a number of programs aimed at keeping you safe on the road and on the highway.
