Sea Goat Farmstand & Folk School

Organization Description

Sea Goat Farmstand & Makers’ Space is a vibrant, community-driven hub in the heart of McKinleyville, CA, dedicated to connecting people through local food, traditional crafts, and hands-on education. Rooted in sustainability and community resilience, we cultivate meaningful connections, preserve traditional knowledge, and empower individuals through shared experiences in food, craft, and culture.

At the core of our work is Sea Goat Farmstand's Micro-Farm, a small urban regenerative micro-farm and market garden committed to sustainable, chemical-free farming. We use low-till methods, composting, vermiculture, and crop rotation to grow fresh, nutrient-dense produce while nurturing the land. Our farmstand and online store offer a curated selection of locally grown produce, seafood, bread, eggs, and artisan goods, making high-quality, local food more accessible to our community while supporting small farmers and producers.

Through our Makers’ Space and Folk School programs, we provide accessible retail opportunities, skill-sharing workshops, and creative spaces for learning and collaboration. Whether through farming, crafting, or food education, we are committed to fostering a thriving local economy and empowering people with practical skills for a more sustainable future.
