Organization Description

Avenues Supported  Living Services is a non-profit organization  created to support people with developmental disabilities  in becoming and remaining active participants in their communities. Avenues Supported  Living Services is committed  to empowering  individuals to make their own choices and experience life's diverse possibilities.

Program Information

Most volunteers  assist individuals (along with their staff) to engage in their daily activities. Specific project  based  volunteers could be utilized to assist with website development, updating brochures and other PR, creating picture communication  systems and programming  tablets for communication , finding resources, etc.

You will have the opportunity to assist adults with developmental disabilities as they go about their daily activities including community work, gym activities, errands, meals, recreation, home chores, etc.

Health & Safety

You will be working with populations that are identified as "behaviorally challenged". 

You will be working with individiuals who have a known criminal backround or history of violent behavior.
