Organization Description

Christine Marie’s Star Riders provides Equine Assisted Activities and Therapeutic Horseback Riding for special needs children, adults, and veterans; including children with physical, mental, social and behavioral disorders. Our goal is to optimize the potential of persons that are differently able. 

 

Program Information

Work as Program Assistants:  lead therapy horses, sidewalk for children riding the therapy horses, assist with language, speech and physical development exercises with the child during the therapeutic riding time.  Also assist with horse-related activities such as grooming and stall care during which you engage a child in learning self-care and human relationship building, social skills development by relating horse needs, care, and relationship needs to human.  Highly interactive.
