Internship Opportunity- Development Intern

Purpose:  The Development Intern will play a vital role on the Mercy House Development Team taking on tasks related to special events for the agency including the opportunity to be involved in the operation and implementation of event outreach, preparation, and marketing.

Major Duties:

• Event Outreach
  • -Identifying and outreaching to potential event attendees and/or sponsors
• Event Preparation
  • -Coordinating auction and raffle item procurement
    • -Assist in strategic and creative thinking and list creation of whom we should make requests
    • -Assist in the creation and distribution of donation request letters
    • -Assist in making follow-up phone calls, site visits (if necessary)
    • -Assist in packaging items and arranging pick up of items
  • Event Marketing
    • -Assist in marketing and promoting events through various online platforms

Reports to:  The Development intern will report directly to the Development Manager.

Time Commitment:  The Development Intern will work 8 – 12 hours/weekly on these tasks under the direction of the Development Manager.

Office hours 9:00am-5:00pm but start times are flexible.

Internship Opportunity- Operation Front Door

-Weekdays from 10:00-5:00.
-Location: Santa Ana (Grand & 17th St.)

-Interns will assist Mercy House clients with the intake of client requests. This includes collecting personal and financial information.

-Assist in doing over-the-phone intakes though Operation Front Door.

-Follow-up with Clients

-Minor filing, copying, etc.

-Assist in client visits

-Live Scan must be completed.
