DUTIES and EXPECTATIONS 

  • Support positive student connections with peers, family, school and community to facilitate student development
  • Complete LAUSD school volunteer application/process via following link: https://volunteerapp.lausd.net
  • Facilitate 2nd Step classroom presentations (evidenced based social-emotional curriculum)
  • Student engagement and reinforcement of Positive Behavior Intervention for Schools (PBIS) model
  • Engage in supportive classroom activities as assigned
  • Redirect and support positive peer-relations in classroom and on playground
  • Build/maintain professional and positive relationships with faculty and staff
  • Familiarize yourself with and honor LAUSD Code of Conduct with Students
  • Engage in reflective-learning and feedback sessions
  • Familiarize yourself with and reinforceLAUSD School Climate Bill of Rights with students
  • Demonstrate professionalism and professional ethics at all times (dress code, punctuality etc.)
  • Maintain confidentiality of all stakeholders within the internal/external school community
  • Refrain from using cell phones, texting while in field
  • Engage in guided-play and pro-social skill demonstration/reinforcement during “common- times”
  • 120 per semester. Tues/Thur/Fri, 2 four hour days per week TBA
