The Council on Aging-Southern California promotes the independence, health and dignity of older adults through compassion, education and advocacy.

Program Information

Council on Aging-Southern California is a private non-profit that provides no cost services to seniors. These services include: Long Term Care Advocacy, Financial Abuse Education, Preventative Mental Health services, Medicare Education, and care navigation. We aim to keep our seniors healthy, connected, and protected with the resources we can provide them.

Health & Safety

We are an aging services agency. Students will be working primarily with the older adult population, many of which may have a disability.

Students will be supervised 100% of the time. Though we do not micromanage, we provide time to meet weekly to discuss any concerns or challenges. Supervisors only oversee 1 to 2 students at a time during the semester and no more than 5 students at a time.
