Organization Description

Green Vets Alliance in Los Angeles is a non-profit organization that is working with Veterans from the West Los Angeles VA hospital to provide job training to both injured and non-injured Veterans. This program offers a wide variety of job training and has helped Veterans successfully re-enter the work force upon returning from military service. The recent ban on single use plastic shopping bags has created jobs for our Veterans producing reusable cloth shopping bags.

  • Design Webpage
  • Design brochures of products or programs
  • Contact possible donors via letter/brochure, phone, in-person, etc.
  • Delivery personnel
  • Group/club volunteerism -  make and pack boxes, etc.
  • Panels for students and veterans to compare a “day-in-the-life”
  • Fundraisiing – money and products for future benefit event
  • Open house at CSUDH for potential veteran/students culminating in ticket to a DH event
  • Liaison to conduct surveys for what veterans need to succeed – challenges - satisfaction
