Organization Description

Senior Recreation program is finding fun, effective and efficient ways to help the seniors in our
community, aged 50 years and over, become, and/or stay active, physically and mentally, well into
their later years by providing exercise, dance and educational courses. with the rapid rate of
technology and social media, we want to keep our seniors in the know and up to date with
communication and entertainment in the online world.

Program Information

Looking for students interested in working one-on-one with willing and able senior citizens in a computer lab setting.  Students are required to have the knowledge, patience and ability to provide seniors with a basic to intermediate computer training course.  This course aims to provide simple and easy to understand hands on instruction for seniors who are looking to increase their knowledge and ease of use on a computer, learning more complex ways of navigating the internet, creating personal social media spaces, and learning about technologies that might be new to them that would allow them to be able to contact and correspond with family members, and better keep up with today’s constantly growing and evolving systems for communication and entertainment.

Health & Safety

Must have patience and ability to work with seniors 50 years and above.
