Organization Description

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Western Region-San Francisco office is seeking two student interns to work in the WRSF office in San Francisco, CA. The WRSF is a regional office that handles both antitrust and consumer protection matters by enforcing federal antitrust laws through merger and anticompetitive conduct investigations and litigation across an array of industries. Western Region-San Francisco also stops unfair, deceptive and fraudulent business practices by conducting investigations, bringing law enforcement actions, building state and local partnerships, and educating consumers and businesses about their rights and responsibilities. Program Information

The student interns will work closely with our investigators and attorneys to investigate (1) false and deceptive advertising; (2) fraudulent and deceptive marketing practices, including mortgage, debt collection, and internet fraud; and (3) privacy and data security. On antitrust matters, students will work closely with our investigators and attorneys to investigate mergers and anticompetitive practices.
