    Program Information

    Via the Sustainability Club, where other trained interns will lead peers in hands-on sustainability projects, volunteer interns will be able to receive training on key sustainability principles and project management skills. The majority of their work will be spent on a variety of projects based on their personal interest and inclinations. Available projects include (but are not limited to): -Sustainability outreach: facilitating tabling events, educational workshops, and other activities to build sustainability awareness in the campus community. Designing marketing materials and presenting to classrooms. Farmers Market promotion and education around sustainable eating/produce. -Facilities, Landscape and Infrastructure Projects: general tasks at the Campus Urban Farm, native garden watering, recycling signage installation, etc. Helping recover food from Dining operations for distribution to campus food pantries. -Data Collection: Tree mapping and identification, waste audits, energy audit and lighting walkthroughs.

    Health & Safety

    Projects vary and is up to the interests of the student. Depending on choice, some projects may involve landscaping and physical labor which carries its own health and safety risks.
