Organization Description

PROJECT IMPACT is a federally funded TRiO Student Support Disability Services Program designed to provide ancillary assistance to students with documented disabilities. We are committed to encourage undergraduate scholars to persist in college through graduation by offering retention enhancing services such as one-on-one tutoring, coaching, assistive technology training, and skill building workshops. By fostering a closely knit learning community, Project IMPACT has supported students through collegiate accomplishments such as Honor Roll, Dean’s list and of course graduation.

Program Information

Students will assist students with disabilities. Students who work for Project IMPACT have the opportunity to provide tutoring in various subjects or academic coaching. Academic coaches work with students with disabilities who are in Project IMPACT’s coaching model of service in a case management style. Academic coaches support a small number of students with time management, prioritizing assignments, planning how to approach assignments, aiding the student in tracking their progress on assignments, navigating the various departments on campus, ensuring students complete their accommodation-related paperwork, and encouraging the development of good student skills and independent learning skills.
