Organization Description

Generation Alive empowers youth to compassionately engage the needs of their community through action and service. We work with Elementary, Middle and High Schools to address food insecurity here in the Bay Area, by partnering with interns and students to do food packing events throughout the school year.

Program Information

Students will oversee an Action Team comprised of student leaders who learn about food insecurity, leadership and compassion. Students will lead 14 weeks of curriculum with the goal of preparing the Action Team to lead a food packing event with the entire school after week 12. Students will also be responsible for meeting with the site supervisor for 1:1 meetings and meeting with the entire intern group for group meetings, totaling a commitment of 4 hours per week.

  • RISK: Students will be asked to drive (in addition to travel to and from site) for this placement.
