Fair Trade Long Beach Retail Collective

Organization Description

Fair Trade Long Beach is the first Fair Trade Campaigns “Town Campaign” to open a brick and mortar store! We are a collective of 21 mostly Fair/Direct Trade partners working together under one roof to promote the availability of ethically sourced gifts, home goods, chocolates, coffees, teas and more while also establishing meaningful opportunities for local and socially conscious organizations to be on board with us too.

Program Information

We will provide an educational experience in learning the global supply chain and the proposed fair treatment of the artisan workers in other countries. This could include awareness that there is still modern day slavery, human trafficking, and child labor being utilized as a business practice with many multinational corporations around the world. This site requires an in-person interview/walkthrough before being approved for service hours.

All students, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, are open and welcome to participate.
