Organization Description

One Degree is a technology driven nonprofit organization that helps individuals and families access the resources they need to improve their lives and achieve social and economic mobility. One Degree’s mission is to connect low-income families with high-quality service providers and community resources. We make it easy for families to access the help they need to thrive by providing the best information available, and by empowering them to give both positive and critical feedback on programs they use.

Program Information

As part of the Resource Management team, students will be updating our existing database of community resources in the Bay Area and Los Angeles counties. This includes online research, calling organizations for information and data-entry work. This work is crucial to our commitment to provide up-to-date information for our families and individuals that need community resources. Students will develop work experience in a tech-driven non-profit that brings together the engineering, community outreach, and product development fields. Students can also build a substantial knowledge of social services that are provided throughout our service areas.
