Program Information

Champion Scholars is a mentoring program for foster teens throughout Butte County. What makes our program unique are our mentors. As college students and former foster youth, our mentors have a unique perspective and understanding of what their mentees are dealing with at home, at school, and socially. Champion Scholars help foster teens get to high school graduation and on a path to their own success. We meet our mentees where they are. We recognize that each person has different needs and strengths. We work with students to develop individualized plans to help the student become successful in school and in life by giving them the tools for learning to be their own best advocate.
