SAC Connect
Mission: To improve mental and physical health outcomes for youth and young adults of color by providing mentorship, leadership development, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support in preparation to transition into adulthood. Vision: SAC Connect seeks to create a network in the community to increase supportive services for youth and young adults that enhance mental health & wellness. The SAC Connect established a network of resources for underrepresented transitional age youth and young adults to gain access to resources within the community, access to mental health services specialized in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma, and goal planning/transitional living skills education. The SAC Connect believes tailoring programs for transitional age youth 16-24 continue to be important as mental health for transition-age youth require an intense level of support, community networks, and perseverance for a successful transition into adulthood.
