Oakland Asian Cultural Center
Founded in 1984, OACC builds vibrant communities through Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) arts and culture programs that foster intergenerational and cross-cultural dialogue, cultural identity, collaborations, and social justice. Located in the heart of Oakland Chinatown, the center provides a diverse array of engaging public programs and classes. Visit www.oacc.cc to learn more.
OACC facility is entirely closed to the public at this time due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19. This volunteer opportunity is intended to be entirely virtual. If absolutely necessary, OACC can arrange limited availability of our office space for the volunteer(s), but it is highly preferable for the student to conduct work from their residence (internet/wi-fi, laptop, ability to work independently, etc).
As of September 2020, OACC facility continues to be closed to the public and all staff are being directed to work remotely from home with scheduled onsite work when absolutely necessary. The Site Supervisor is available to provide support 10am-5pm Mon-Fri (excluding some holidays). This volunteer opportunity is intended to be carried out remotely.
