Organizational Impact: The East Bay SPCA’s full-service Veterinary Clinic offers excellent, affordable care and services to thousands of owned animals each year! Volunteers support staff in providing great customer service to clinic clients.

Location: The Vet Clinic Greeter works at the East Bay SPCA – Theodore B. Travers Family Veterinary Clinic located at 8323 Baldwin Street Oakland, CA. Parking is available on-site. The Coliseum BART Station is a 0.7 mile walk.

Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate with clients in a professional manner
• Answering phones for Spay/Neuter clinic throughout the week
• Scheduling Spay/neuter surgery appointments for clients using EzyVet software
• Organizing messages or any live calls received from FSC into the following categories on Spreadsheet for CSR follow up:
o Prescription Requests
o Appointments
o Inquires
o Emergencies

Time Commitment:
• Weekly shifts are available Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm or 2pm- 5pm.
• We ask each volunteer to make a four-month minimum commitment, but we hope you stay longer!

Training & Support:
• One-on-one staff training is provided.
• The Clinic Supervisor and Volunteer Services Manager are available for questions and assistance.
• This position reports to directly to the Clinic Supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Competent with office-based computer programs
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with the public
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Wear name tag and closed toed shoes at all times
• Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents
• Ability to maintain organized filing system
• Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone presence
