Here at Liberty Gymnastics, our Girls Competitive Team Director and Head Coach position offers endless amounts of opportunities. Obtaining a Director/Head Coach position means having the ability to oversee and organize all areas of the girls competitive team and developmental program. One of the biggest advantages of obtaining this position is having the freedom to generate skill standards and training schedules for each developmental, compulsory and optional team. This position allows the opportunity for gymnastics professionals to put their vision and plans into action.
By the end of this opportunity, this student will have learned the responsibilities of managing a competitive team program. There is a lot of detail oriented work that is done behind the scenes of a youth competitive program that will be introduced and exercised by the student. Some examples include, communication responsibilities with parents, other program directors, leotard vendors, meet representatives, partake in director meetings, skill evaluation sheets for developmental program, create rotation schedules for all teams involved in team program ect.
This student will be shadowing as well as assisting in performing the responsibilities of a Team Director/Head Coach position. Training will be given daily throughout the duration of the internship.
Due to this student being a current employee of this facility, she has been trained and successfully passed the certification requirements to be out on the floor.
