PNNL is the nation’s premier laboratory for scientific discovery in chemistry, earth sciences, and data analytics, and for technology solutions to the nation’s toughest challenges in energy resiliency and national security. PNNL also boasts the Marine Sciences Laboratory (MSL) - the Department of Energy’s only marine research facility. PNNL is one of ten United States (U.S.) Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science (SC) national laboratories which is managed and operated by Battelle for the Department of Energy.
