Organization Description

Operating in beautiful Quincy, CA, Oakland Feather River Camp has been providing San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California families and youth with meaningful and fun outdoor vacation experiences since 1924. Formerly operated by the City of Oakland's Parks & Recreation Department, O.F.R.C - while still owned by the City of Oakland - is now operated by Camps in Common, a non-profit who's mission is to promote and celebrate connections between nature, family and community while creating unique opportunities to advance environmental awareness, cultural diversity, and youth empowerment.

  • RISK: Event Set-up - Risk includes but not limited to: Lifting, cuts, bruises, etc.
  • RISK: Physical Recreation - Risk includes but is not limited to: sprains, strains, bruises, gym equipment, falling
  • RISK: Students will be asked to drive (in addition to travel to and from site) for this placement.
