Opportunity Summary
The students will have the opportunity to shadow all physical therapist and learn about patient's diagnosis and treatments, with the patient's consent. Students will learn how to use and apply modalities such as; ultrasound, ice and TENS or heat and TENS.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
The students will have learned how to use and apply modalities such as; ultrasound, ice and TENS or heat and TENS. Will understand the pace and flow of a manual based, hands-on clinic. They also will have a better understanding of how and why manual based therapy is used.
Opportunity Training
Students will shadow a physical therapy aide and be instructed on how to use the ultrasound machine and TENS units.
