Program Information

REACH (Raising Educational Achievement in Collaborative Hubs) is a program created under the Chico Student Success Center at CSU, Chico in efforts to increase academic achievement amongst first-year students. We fully understand the obstacles that come along with entering college for the first time and, in response, have designed a program that makes navigating the university and achieving academic success much easier.

To do this, we have developed clear paths to tutoring, financial and academic planning, collaborative learning communities, and effective study environments for all REACH students.

Each REACH student is provided a peer mentor who works one-on-one with the student to ensure their academic success, with additional support from faculty mentors as well. REACH participants also gain a sense of community by becoming a part of a collaborative hub of nine other students whom they study with weekly.
