CSUSM Sustainability Program

Organization Description

The Sustainability Program focuses on student success by providing both service learning and internship opportunities on campus that help students prepare for careers in the environmental, sustainability field. Students conduct different projects focused on their interests and/or class focus.

Program Information

The Sustainability Program is housed within Safety, Health, and Sustainability (SHS). The Sustainability Manager spearheads the holistic sustainability efforts at CSUSM. SHS spearheads curricular and co-curricular efforts, connecting social justice and diversity to sustainability, student engagement, service learning and internship opportunities and coordinates efforts across campus. 

SHS partners with various operational and academic departments, working groups and individuals dedicated to achieving our campus sustainability goals.
