Organization Description

The goal of this agency is to encourage self sufficiency by administering the highest level of services in a manner that is consistent with local, federal and state guidelines. We facilitate this process by placing people first, in an effort to promote the health and well being of those who seek our services.

Program Information

As a frontier county, Trinity County CWS offers social workers skill in working with rural population, emergency cases, foster care, adoption, foster home services, ongoing case management services, and juvenile foster dual status understanding (probation and CWS), and court hearing for parental rights and/or termination, public health foster care nursing, child welfare data analysis, California Child Care Review, family team meetings, differential response, drug screenings, grant managment, and child prevention activities. 

The student intern should be able to work with diverse populations, work in a collaborative environment, and have experience with personal computer applications.
