Research Biology Internship At — ORIC Pharmaceuticals
ORIC Pharmaceuticals, Inc, is a clinical stage oncology company dedicated to improving patients’ lives and focused on developing treatments that address mechanisms of therapeutic resistance. We are excited to offer an 8–10-week paid summer internship in our South San Francisco Biology Department to a highly motivated student. You will take part in an exciting early-stage drug discovery program as a member of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with scientists in biology, computational biology, biochemistry, and chemistry. You will characterize small molecule inhibitors, discovered in-house, to help understand compound attributes, including potency and mechanism of action. This position provides the opportunity to obtain hands-on biotechnology experience under close mentorship and build a foundation for your future career.
• Develop and perform assays to characterize molecules as part of an exciting, early-stage, drug discovery program • Keep excellent records of experimental procedures and acquired data in an electronic lab notebook • Learn relevant biology that supports target identification and small molecule mechanism of action • Contribute to project team meeting discussions and present discoveries to the team
