Opportunity Summary 

Community Youth Courts is based on a restorive framework and intervention for students facing youth court. This intern will work with students, particiapte in a peer panel, and meet with family and students to create a plan of action for student/ family with follow up and practice in case management/ mentorship.  This is not a clinical position. Supported by the Director and Attorney at site. 

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Student Intern will work with upto 1-4 at risk youth clients with weekly mentoring meetings.

Student Intern will learn case management process and strategic planning.

Student Intern will learn the ability to work with at risk youth to determine resources and support sercvices for intervention purposes 

Opportunity Training 

Will provide on boarding and training. 

Will provide an opportunity to attend life choices training.

 

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

No major risk. The mentor and at risk youth are never alone and will be supervised and or in a public setting.
