Community LiaisonAt — Developing Organziing Visions for Everyone (DOVE Bay Area)
Established in 2018 DOVE is to be a community development organization serving our local communities by engaging in a broad range of strategies that promote gang prevention, community health, education, and development and also engage in activities that are necessary, suitable, or convenient. DOVE is seeking to work with Intern(s) to assist in our program services and fund development research. Intern(s) will focus on specific tasks as defined in the job description and will be guided by DOVE staff to ensure this is an awarding experience.
Students will have learned about strategic planning, program development including fundraising while working with staff on program implementation and community outreach through a trauma-informed lens.
Our organization will offer an orientation to the agency, mission, values, and programs including goals. In addition, our organization will provide on-the-job training through zoom/teams and attend community meetings with the student. There will be weekly check-ins for the student to provide feedback on how the agency can better assist them in performing these responsibilities.
The work will be remote and unlikely will be in person. If there is that rare occassional in-person meeting, the agency will provide the necessary PPE equipment and request for staff to test negative prior to the meeting. Also, we refer staff for self-care opportunities understanding the stress caused by working in social justice field.
If interested, send a resume or letter of interest to admin@dovebayarea.org. We will provide more information on the agency and schedule an interview. We are open to all professional levels. Encourage all to apply regardless of conviction background.
