This position will allow students to learn about what happens at a museum. We have positions at Children's Natural History Museum which focuses on the Ice Age fossils found in the south bay. At Tule Ponds and Masonic Home Reforestation, we have a position at each site to work with high school students on different environmental projects. At California Nursery Historical Park, intern can learn how the science of trees and horticultural developed. If intern loves earthquakes, we have an exhibit and walk in Central Park in Fremont that can excite public.
How to teach science or environment skills to K-12 students. How to follow science lesson plans to inspire children. How to present materials to children and/or public.
yes, would shadow professional onsite and then be allowed to perform with professional if person is comfortable. Training on material is usually through direct communication, training videos, or written instructions.
Interns are trained at specific site on safety protocol, the most training is done at environmental sites and rules of protection using tools
Would like to interview student onsite to see if student can do the job.
