Organization Description

Our mission is to provide exceptional value to the commercial building industry through seamless glazing installations that are on time, in budget, and right the first time.

Program Information

Project Engineer

 

Purpose: The project engineer supports projects by assisting project managers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain stock submittal samples
  • Maintain project submittal samples until project is inactive then document and discard
  • Follow up with purchasing on outstanding POs
  • Process, follow up, and track project submittals and order samples, as needed
  • LEED paperwork
  • With direction of PM, assist in taking off project material such as shims, setting blocks, caulking, fasteners and sizing glass, giving information to PM to check and release for purchasing
  • Follow up on RFI and Change Order Log with GC
  • Execute closeout requests (vendor and company warranties, etc.)

 

Required Experience and Expertise:

  • 2 years of experience in the glazing trade (ideal)
  • 1 year of experience in Project Engineering or Project Coordination (ideal)
  • Essential office skills: typing, computer literacy, and able to navigate the internet
  • Software experience: Microsoft and Google Platforms
  • Excellent, professional oral and written communication skills

  • SITE REQUIREMENT: Students will be asked to sign a confidentiality waiver.
