Organization Description

As part of the LA Conservation Corps’ commitment to education, the After School Program’s (ASP) mission is to extend the school day in fun and exciting ways that help to cultivate critical thinking in young minds. In addition to a safe worry-free environment, the After School Program provides academic enrichment, tutoring, and mentoring services at elementary and middle schools throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District; specifically at Carnegie, Curtiss, and Peary Middle Schools. These are sites we are seeking partnership at.

Program Information

Project Option 1: Students will be creating Parent Advisory Groups on each campus. Students will have the opportunity to contact parents, seek their involvement/support in future program events and offer set-up workshops based on the needs and interests of the Parent group.

Project Option 2: Students will create Community Ambassdors groups around the school community. These are other organizations that are invited to share ways we can work together in the community, support our school site efforts or offer program perks that would benefit students and their families.

  • Health Check/Screening (e.g. temperature screening, COVID-19 test)
  • Must be 18 or older

  • SAFETY: Students are NOT PERMITTED to take photos or video while on site.
