Organization Description

The Office of Child Development Centers has 28 early childhood centers throughout the cities of Long Beach, Lakewood, and Signal Hill as part of the Long Beach Unified School District. The program includes part-day preschool, full-day preschool, and school age care serving students before and after school for 12 months out of the year. Our program follows the California Title 5 regulations as well as Title 22 regulations. It is served by an outstanding staff of professional teachers, administrators, and support staff whose sole purpose is to provide a comprehensive program in order to meet the needs of the children we serve.

Program Information

Participants will assist the classroom teachers in the classroom by providing basic needs for children to ensure their health and safety, assisting with student supervision indoor or outdoor, preparing materials for activities, cleaning after activities, and assisting with the care and use of instructional materials, and special events.

Health & Safety

Participants will be working with young children and staff in an educational setting.
