A World Fit for Kids!

Organization Description

A World Fit For Kids! is a non-profit agency established in 1992 to develop and manage sport and physical activity programs for underserved youth. Our programs utilize college students to oversee inner-city students, who, in turn, mentor younger children through the use of sport, recreation, and academic activities. Our after-school programs help youth of all ages learn about “fit” behavior by providing them with positive role models, and opportunities that they might not have access to.

Program Information

As we look to the fall, we are searching for interns with unique ideas and creative lesson plans that can help us address the needs of our K-12 students. Given the impact that COVID-19 has had on our youth, we are also looking to expand our afterschool activities with robotics and coding programs, as well as boosting our focus on nutrition, leadership training, and community service projects.
