Organization Description
Ventura County Farm to School is a nonprofit organization that supports public school districts to establish farm to school programs, including: 1. Healthy, local food sourcing for school meals 2. Nutrition education, whole food cooking, and agricultural education in school and after-school programs 3. School garden and farm education programs
Health & Safety
Additional requirements and/or considerations Occasionally our program serves students with special needs, this includes behavioral issues as well as developmental. Interns would never be left alone with students and always have a credentialed teacher or school staff person present in this scenario.
