Organization Description

The mission of the Brain Injury Center of Ventura County is to improve the quality of life for those impacted by brain injury living in Ventura County. We are a person-centered, trauma informed organization who values the brain injury affected community we serve. We pride our organization on the highest standards of integrity, compassion and respect. We value teamwork, community collaboration and recognize that the brain injury survivors of Ventura County are our highest priority.

**THIS SITE IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN HLTH 492**

Health & Safety

Students will be working with brain injury survivors. Occasionally these clients may have outbursts that involving yelling or cursing. Very rarely clients may throw things or break objects.

Additional requirements and/or considerations
  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Health Check/Screening (e.g. temperature screening, COVID-19 test)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • TB Test
  • Vaccinations
  • RISK: Students may be working with behaviorally challenged populations.
  • SITE LOCATION: Parking and work areas may not be secure or adequately illuminated.
  • SUPERVISION: Students may be required to work at night (after 6pm).
