Mendocino County Family & Children's Services

Program Information

We are committed to excellence in the delivery of child welfare services in a child-focused, family-centered and culturally competent manner. We investigate reports of suspected child abuse and neglect, and intervene with families who are unable to ensure the health and safety of their child. Investigations are conducted in a thorough and professional manner and family interventions are completed in the least intrusive manner necessary for the protection of the child. It is our goal to work with families to help keep children safe at home. However, when that is not possible, we work to find a safe, permanent homes for children.
