Opportunity Summary 

Students will have opportunities to develop professional skills in a variety of tasks that public and nonprofit organizations undertake, such as event management, marketing and outreach on various platforms, grant writing, interviews, data collection, and analysis to develop impact reports. Students will learn how to use project management and collaborative tools as they work on individual and team projects. We are looking for students who are self-motivated and able to work both independently and with teams.

The position is primarily virtual with a few in-person events so the schedule is flexible.. Students meet at least weekly with their supervisor to review the progress of work assigned and to discuss upcoming assignments. There are several in-person events that we ask students to assist with if their schedule permits.

Opportunity Training 

Initial onboarding training. Online training to use tools Asana (for Project Management) and Slack (for internal communication) for all. Specific tools such as Eventbrite (for event management); and Neoserra (for CRM and data reporting).; Hootsuite (for social media), etc,. as needed depending on the tasks involved.
