Program Information
General Description of what students will be doing at this Site:
Interns at the Institute for Innovation & Economic Development (iiED) support the Program staff in implementing their programs, events, and projects to develop and launch successful businesses and nonprofits. An important focus for iiED is to increase the proportion of entrepreneurs, advisors and investors who are women and people of color in our region.
Tasks include administrative work related to event planning and logistics, social media and email marketing, editing newsletters, and research.
Interns develop skills in event planning, project management, marketing, communication, and research. CHHS field placement interns are important iiED team members and work collaboratively with staff, faculty, and other interns on a range of programs for community members and student entrepreneurs to develop and launch successful businesses and nonprofits.
