Student Internship Opportunities Independent Stave Company offers ongoing and part-time internships structured to fulfill requirement of an apprenticeship or professional development experience. Our interns are exposed to all facets of our unique industry and each experience varies by department and location.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Rohan will be involved in helping our Controls Engineering Team at Missouri Cooperage. He will be involved with and learning the following task or skills: Configuration and programming of PLCs(Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human Machine Interfaces), and Databases. Electrical panel construction and wiring. Wiring sensors and devices. Working with SQL Databases.

Opportunity Training 

Implement automated systems, including process improvements. Work on a team to deliver a product from concept to functional design—electrical panel construction and wiring. Write programming for PLCs.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

All interns go through our build-a-barrel training and initial orientation, which includes any required safety training, depending on their department or role at their facility. In addition, this training may include any OSHA or specialty training necessary before an individual can perform or be cleared for a specific job function.
