Organization Description

Natomas Unified School District (NUSD), named the second most diverse school district in the nation in a 2016 New York Times study, is located just minutes north of downtown Sacramento and the State Capitol in California’s Central Valley. 

Program Information

The student intern should be/have:

  • Flexible
  • able to work with school aged youth from TK-High School
  • Able to handle crisis situtations
  • Able to manage difficult behaviors
  • The ability to to speak with parents/guardians regarding students
  • Able to establish trust with youth
  • Able to work well on a team
  • Motivated to learn and receive feedback

 

Health & Safety

Student interns may be exposed to difficult behaviors, school fights, and upset parents/caregivers

Additional requirements and/or considerations
  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Drug Screening
  • Own car with evidence of insurance
