Opportunity Summary 

Sourcing and Procurement Intern PTC is seeking a high-performing Sourcing and Procurement Intern to support its Strategic Sourcing and Procurement functions in North America. The Sourcing and Procurement Specialist Intern owns PTC’s capacity to support our internal customers to source from the best possible suppliers, in terms of quality of services and goods, but also in terms of return on investment, and drive them through all the phases of the negotiation until the purchase is completed. The Sourcing and Procurement intern will be part of the Global Source to Procure (S2P) team within the Global Controllership team in Finance and report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement.

Gain excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be able to work with various groups to reach alignment and resolve conflicts. Strong negotiating and commercial contract skills. Analytical approach to problem solving and ability to bridge communications between the PTC’s suppliers and business customers. Ensure structured sourcing, negotiation and contracting methodology is followed. Strong Customer Service Orientation and Business Acumen including proven ability to present technical and financial information to a broad audience. Will be able to work in a fast paced, multi-project environment, with minimal supervision.

Opportunity Training 

Support the student to lead the effort to socialize and operationalize a comprehensive process for sourcing, procurement, pricing and contract negotiations for PTC US and, if required, Globally. Train the candidate to Identify savings opportunities & service enhancements and initiate process improvements. Train the candidate to manage supplier negotiations in order to reduce costs, minimize use of liquid capital and increase supplier accountability.
