No previous experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is required. Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

● Students will practice skills in areas professional communication, collaboration, teaching, learning and working with children and clients that require ABA Therapy. ● Students will learn about community issues such as learning to work with children that have social developmental challenges and will learn to be resilient in the face of setbacks during a day’s work. ● Students will be taught to use the strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis to work with clients who have developmental delays, such as Autism. Students will provide direct 1:1 therapy for teaching life skills and behavior reduction to those with Autism in a gentle, center or home-based environment. ● Students will have fun with clients while teaching them life skills that they need by implementing individualized programs for children and young adults based on behavioral analysis principles that increase communication, self-help, social and play skills. ● Students will manage inappropriate behaviors that occur through the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and support for the clinical team and regional director. ● Students will capture thorough notes and documentation using a tablet/mobile device to manage the child’s progress and facilitate interaction with peers, coworkers, and families. ● Students will keep the children motivated to learn through positive reinforcement and fun play-based therapy.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be provided training in the field of behavioral health which will allow them to receive their RBT, and BCBA. Students can start their career in ABA therapy with our company.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Safety training is provided. Students will need to be aware of the risks working with children that have behavioral challenges and that display fits of aggression. In addition they will need to be aware of surroundings at all times to avoid tripping and falling hazards.

-You enjoy working with children and making a difference -H.S. Diploma or GED -Flexible availability - high demand for time Monday through Thursday from 3-7:30 pm -Complete new hire training conducted online and in person. All training time is paid. -Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, and COVID – California mandated) -Reliable transportation required -Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting to observe, assess and interact with infants/toddlers (50%). -Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in-meetings and on-the-phone. -Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting, and using upper and lower limbs to drive car to-and-from home visits and meetings (20%). -Occasional sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and perform computer work (15%). -Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading of toys and materials used in home visits (10%). *CSD is a PROUD equal opportunity employer.
