Organization Description Colette’s Children’s Home is a nonprofit organization based in Huntington Beach, CA that has provided housing and supportive services to homeless women and children for the past 23 years.
CCH began renting a two-bedroom apartment in the city of Huntington Beach in 1998, housing up to 6 homeless women and children each night. The agency now owns and operates 21 Homeless Shelter Program and permanent housing sites. We have the capacity to serve over 400 homeless single women, homeless mothers and children, and low-income individuals at any given point in time. Our shelters are located in the cities of Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Anaheim, and Placentia.
We recognize that, acting alone, we will not be able to completely eliminate homelessness in Orange County, but we are creating a replicable model of systemic change that impacts the lives of the people we serve.

Our Values
Our values are compassion for those in need, commitment to each other and those we serve, confidentiality to maintain anonymity and dignity, physical and emotional safety to protect our women and children, dedication to service, agency integrity, and program excellence.
Our Programs
Since our incorporation in 1998, CCH has taken over 5,900 homeless women and children off the streets. We have also helped over 1,600 women obtain or maintain employment, and helped reunify over 500 children with their mothers.
Our three core housing programs include:
- Emergency Shelter
- Transitional Housing Program
- Permanent Housing Program
We are one of the few homes that serve homeless women who suffer from a variety of issues such as economic hardship, domestic violence, mental health issues, and substance abuse. Our goal for each client is self-sufficiency and independence, breaking the vicious cycle of homelessness.
