Opportunity Summary 

NewFIlmmakers Los Angeles is looking for a Festival Coorindation/Outreach Intern to assist in setting up and exeuctation of our Monthly Film Festivals along with buliding relationships with other like-minded organizations.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Learned the inner workings of how a monthly film festival is set up, ran and broken down. Intern will learn how communciate and build partnerships with other non-profits, advocay groups/organizations, etc. Interns will learn how the independent filmmaking/television landscape operates by engaging with production studios, independent filmmakers and organziations in the entertainment space

Opportunity Training 

The intern will learn these through immersing herself in the film industry within the heart of entertainment. She will be thoroughly taught how to manage daily operations and tasks. In the office, she will be properly trained in how to complete each task as well as, on the fly, she will learn about how to carry herself in networking situations within the industry. We find that the best way to teach the interns is through hands-on experience, and in some instances, throwing them right into the mix is the best way to get them to start.

Due to the event set-up, there may be instances where heavy lifting may be involved. Proper gloves, lifting techniques (team lifts) will be provided
