Physical Therapy AideAt — Living Healthy Physical Therapy
This is a physical therapy aid position. It involves working very closely with a physical therapist and the patient. Knowledge will be gained in exercise therapy and treatment techniques as well as office management and scheduling.
at the end of this opportunity students will be more confident in their working with people with physical disabilities. They will be able to assist patient with exercises as well as write up and exercise program. There will also be proficient in the use of an electronic medical record for scheduling, filing, and setting up.
Training will be one on one with a physical therapist and will be on the job training in exercise therapy, treatment techniques, and Kinesio taping
Student will be trained in safety measures involved in the clinic which will primary be supervising patients, particularly who are at a high fall risk. This will be done in conjunction and in the presence of a physical therapist.

Although not required, preference will be given to students with experience in exercise therapy, athletic training, Pilates, yoga, or any form of exercise instruction, including martial arts, and or weight training. Preference will also be given to students who have experience in outpatient medical clinics.
