Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

After completing the Pantry Manager in Training position, an individual will have developed leadership and management skills, gained expertise in inventory and budget management, and learned how to ensure food safety and compliance. They will also have enhanced their ability to serve clients with respect, engage with community partners, and coordinate volunteers. Additionally, they'll have honed problem-solving, communication, and program development skills, preparing them to manage a food pantry independently and effectively.

Opportunity Training 

The Pantry Manager in Training will receive hands-on training in pantry operations, volunteer coordination, client services, budgeting, and community engagement. They will also learn about food safety, compliance, and develop problem-solving and leadership skills. This training gradually increases responsibility, preparing them to manage a pantry independently.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Food safety Course is recommended for the position. Broad safety principles apply when dealing with the general public. Safe lifting practices are a must.
